“One day you will wake up and there won’t be any more time to do the things you’ve always wanted. Do it now.”
~Paulo Coelho
I was talking with a friend this past weekend, who I would describe as fun and confident. She said to me: “Out of all our neighbors, you intimidate me the most”.
I’ve heard this before, more than once. It makes me laugh and I also wonder, is this good or bad?
What I know is, my confidence is what’s intimidating.
Why?
I would love your feedback back. I’d like to think we all want more confidence, as confident as I am, I still want more.
What is confidence? For me, it’s knowing who I am. I’m very aware of what I like and don’t like and comfortable sharing it, when it’s appropriate. I have security with my personal boundaries and accountability. I know my value, but remember when I didn’t. This has offered me greater appreciation for myself and others. I always knew I had a purpose, but didn’t give myself permission to protect myself for it, until 31 years old. Since then, my confidence has grown and I assume it will continue to grow until I die.
Does this sound familiar to you? If it doesn’t, you might be interested in getting Coached. Find your center and confidence, give yourself permission to be who you’re meant to be.
